hail in grady new mexico

This afternoon when I watched the early news, Doppler Dave said that wind and hail would be coming to Grady NM from the Mcalister, NM area. Sure enough, the wind and hail and rain came to my house 3 1/2 miles west of Grady. It hailed about ten minutes. The hail looked like this out my front door, and the rain measured .90. We had no wheat to cut this year, so the rain and hail were welcome.

Storm damage

Hello,

I saw a request for pictures of storm damage on the news, and I thought I'd send in some pictures of what the winds did to my fence. While not as dramatic as a chimney falling off, it's still pretty impressive, especially since the fence was only 3 years old. The whole middle section is laid over at a 45 degree angle. Hopefully someone finds these pictures interesting, and thanks for the news, especially Doppler Dave! ^_^

These are all from the same storm in Canadian, Notice the many different colors of the clouds, the sun was behind some, which really made a good picture.

our shed landed on the roof!!

Storm in Canyon on 9th Avenue last night.

This trampoline belongs in the yard NEXT door. It caught the high lines and landed in this ladies yard. Xcel was out there at 10:30 getting the tramp. off the high lines.

Mammatus clouds over downtown Hooker, Okla. on Sunday, May 25, 2008. The storms stayed south of Texas County for the most part, but Hooker did see some wind damage from outflow winds as the storms passed through Spearman and Gruver.
