Double Rainbow
This is the view from my porch. I live at the Jarvis Ranch... 5 miles east of the TX/NM state line on I-40.

fire in Timbercreek Canyon Saturday June 25, 2011
Dopper Dave,
Here are 2 images I took of the 'small' fire in Timbercreek Saturday afternoon. Had the wind been blowing it would have been another major disaster. Not sure but looks as though the transformer blew and started a fire in the brittle grass and weeds. Several homes are very close. Our car thermometer registered 110 degrees at the time these were taken.

Christ of the Ozarks
Doppler Dave - here is a pic of Christ of the Ozarks in Eureka Springs, AR. It is a 7 ft tall statue at the Great Passion Play. Taken on June 13, 2011, on our vacation. We took the "Amarillo Effect" with us. As we pulled into Eureka Springs storms were all around and then disappeared when we got there. We tried to bring back some rain - just didn't work.

Majestic Thunderstorm
Hi Doppler Dave!
I was recently in Austin, Texas for a conference and took this picture of a supercell thunderstorm with my cell phone. I thought of the scripture in Exodus (God to Moses): "I Am that I Am. Tell the people I Am has sent you" when I saw this storm. I thought you'd enjoy this picture.

Raton Fire
-These photos were sent to me by my son, Nathan Luscombe, who was trying to get back to Amarillo from Denver.
re:Fire pics from Nancy Smith-Blackwell
Hi Dave...
I got fairly close to that fire out by Panhandle today. I'm sure I was on the road where it started but it had traveled north by the time I got there and I captured a lot of blackened ground but the wind was kicking flames up while I was there! I was out on 207 South...and CO RD 5 or 6...not sure. Thanks and take care!

We saw the dirt devil (??) Between Amarillo and Fritch the afternoon. It was about 40-50 feet wide at one time.
