Dale & Dottie JacobsSilverton, Texas
Those of us NOT living in Tacoma or surrounding areas anymore will appreciate these pictures I know a couple of you saw this on Friday it was so amazing, people were pulling over on the freeway to take pictures. A lot of these are taking from Vashon but I had the most amazing view from the top of the 15th street hill. CRAZY! Mt. Rainier puts on a show!
It's usually a sign of rain within 24 hours because typically the moist flow that precedes a storm around here is the perfect set up for these clouds.
Here are some other ones submitted into YouNews (Feel free to submit your own!)

By Scott Sistek Our little dry streak is about to come to an end. But if you looked at Mt. Rainier today, you would have known that already.
Take a look at some of these incredible clouds captured over Mt. Rainier today. The one above was taken by Tim Thompson. The one below, by David Embrey:

Doppler Dave,
Here are a couple pictures of comet Lulin I shot at Buffalo LakeSaturday night February 21st. I used a Canon xti attached to a 4"refractor on a tracking mount. If you look closely at the 4 minuteexposure you can see the nucleus of the comet is a dash, but the starsare dots.
Lulin's green color comes from the gases that make up its Jupiter-sizedatmosphere. Jets spewing from the comet's nucleus contain cyanogen: apoisonous gas found in many comets, and diatomic carbon. Both substancesglow green when illuminated by sunlight in the near-vacuum of space.

Australian Wreath
Australian Wreath.....is there anything more beautiful than nature at it's best!!
This delightful circle was taken at Lamington national park, west of the Gold Coast. These are native Australian mountain parrots, the red and blue kind are crimson rosella and the red and green are King Parrots. They are feasting on sunflower seed which Mr. Watt had left for them, but did not expect them to form such a perfect ring. This guy on the bottom is about to jump into the centre, to the discontent of the other birds.

Birds
This is a pic of my neighbors tree Feb. 2, 2009 here in Clovis, NM
Can't believe how many birds are flying around each night this has been going on for several nights now and what a show they have been putting on. Some times the sky is just black with birds it is a sight to see for sure...Barb McKenzie
